Photos - Cinnamon Alexandrine

The body is bleached green or pale looking green yellow. The wing patches are little lighter than the pure Alexandrine. Their feet are also lightly coloured. The neck ring is black and pink. Cinnamon birds can be recognized when the bird first hatches by the dark red eyes and white toe nails. As they mature the eye colour changes to a darker tint.

The cinnamon mutation is just like the Lutino, sex-linked. The first coloured birds you will breed will be hens from your split cinnamon cocks. Increase the size first by breeding back to good pure stock of Alexandrines. Just as with the Lutino mutation, George wants to avoid breeding hybrids together at this time. His results so far include a stunning 2nd generation or ¾ cinnamon Alexandrine hen.
